HAPPY SPRING 🌷 I am feeling so in flow with the season. It’s finally given me the clarity and fresh perspective I needed to write and share again. I realized it’s been two months since my last post, but when I started this Substack, I promised myself I wouldn’t force it. That’s why there’s no paywall (for now); I didn’t want the pressure to create on demand.
Instead, I’ve been deep in my journal. For the past couple of months, I’ve started a new practice: the moment I wake up, I grab my journal and start writing. Even when I have an early morning workout class or work, I set my alarm 30-45 minutes earlier just so I can get words down. The most surprising thing has been realizing just how much chaos lives in my mind. Letting it pour out — without judgment — has been deeply therapeutic. Journaling at any hour has become a safe space for me. That, and conversations with friends, solo time at home, new work, travel, and therapy — I’m fully in a new chapter, and it feels damn good.
I went on a girls trip last month to Mexico City that breathed new life into me. I’ve been quietly working on new projects that fuel me. I am actively practicing the art of letting go — releasing what no longer serves me and accepting what I can’t control. Overall, my energy has been on fire. I’m tuning into my intuition and letting gut feelings guide my days. I’m not surprised I’ve been feeling so much lightness and joy lately. Maybe it’s the sunshine — but it hits differently when you feel it from the inside out.
I’m currently in Taipei enjoying a few slow days with my dad before heading to Kyoto for my dear friends wedding next week, and I thought I’d play a little catch up on the last two months. A photo diary of mainly outfits and home things that you’re here for. If you’ve been here, you know my Substack is 1/2 about clothes and things while the other 1/2 are deep thought pieces. BALANCE. Enjoy :)
Love, CAT xx
First, a few quick links:
My Sephora sale picks are here. I’ve raved about all of these products at one point or another, so know they are tried and true.
The Hourglass mascara is one to call out — especially for my Asian girls because this actually doesn’t smudge. I’m shook!
My other call out are the three tinted moisturizers I swear by. Ilia has the most glow + coverage. Saie is the most matte + coverage. Iris + Romeo is glowly and most sheer (perfect for beach days).
Kosas Eyebrow Pencil in GREY is best for my skin tone — who knew GREY?!
Saie Dew Blush in Spicy is the perfect warm blush. I’ve been using only this and no bronzer!
The Necessaire Lip Balm is my favorite clear one at the moment. I love the applicator and it actually keeps my lips hydrated.
I started taking these Perelel Hormonal Supplements and I swear they are working.

Lately, this feels like the most genuine way to share snippets of my life. Since the fires, I’ve been living in a vortex, still not quite settled back into my normal routine—but this is life according to my iPhone.
